To help you achieve your goals, we collect:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and password (hashed)
• Authentication Data: Single sign-on identifiers (Apple, Google), passkeys, and 2FA signals
• Push Notification Data: Device tokens needed to deliver notifications you opt in to
• Subscription Data: Plan status, purchase history, and receipt identifiers
• Goal Data: Your goals, milestones, check-ins, and progress notes
• Usage Data: How you interact with the platform to improve your experience
• Communication Preferences: Notification settings and AI support preferences
• Supporter Data: If you choose to invite supporters or accountability partners, the information needed to manage those connections and what you choose to share with them

Your goals are the heart of Annet. We collect them so the app can help you plan, track, remember, and follow through on what matters to you.

For Apple and Google sign-in, we receive your name and email (email may be hidden by Apple). We use your email to send essential account and security notices.

We use your information to:

• Provide personalized AI accountability support
• Send you progress reminders and encouragement (only if you opt in)
• Deliver push notifications you opt in to
• Track your progress and generate insights
• Improve the reliability, safety, and usefulness of Annet
• Provide customer support when you need help
• Ensure platform security and prevent abuse

We do not use your goal content for advertising, sell it, or use it for unrelated purposes. When AI support uses your goals, it is to help Annet provide contextual accountability, planning, reminders, and encouragement for those goals.

AI support may run through API-based providers or on-device models. In either case, your goal content is not used to train AI models, and we will not enable model training on your data.

We take security seriously:

• Industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest
• Secure authentication with password hashing, passkeys, and optional 2FA
• Regular security reviews and updates
• Limited access to personal data (only essential team members)
• Secure cloud infrastructure with reputable providers

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate our platform:

• Cloud Infrastructure: To host the service, store data, and ensure reliability
• Email Delivery: To send essential transactional messages and opt-in updates
• Analytics & Diagnostics: App store analytics and crash reporting to improve stability
• Push Notifications: To deliver reminders and account alerts
• Payments & Subscriptions: Managed by a third-party subscription platform
• AI Service Providers: To power accountability support and contextual assistance
• Sign-In Providers: Apple and Google sign-in to simplify authentication

These providers are contractually limited in how they can use your data and may only process it to provide services to Annet, protect their systems, or meet legal obligations.

We use functional cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and protect the service. We also use limited product analytics and diagnostics to understand app usage, improve stability, and fix issues. We do not use advertising cookies.

You have control over your data:

• Access: View all data we have about you
• Export: Download your goals and progress data anytime
• Correction: Update or correct your information
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data permanently
• Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from notifications at any time
• Privacy Settings: Control who can see your goals and progress

To exercise any of these rights, visit your account settings, use the account deletion request page, or contact us directly.

We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.

• When you delete data, we remove it from active systems promptly.
• Backup copies may remain for up to 30 days before being purged.

We operate globally. Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. We use standard contractual protections and security measures to safeguard your data.

If you are in the EU/UK, we process data based on contract (to provide the service), consent (for optional communications), and legitimate interests (security and improvement). In the US, you may have rights to access, delete, and opt out of certain uses. We honor applicable local privacy laws in New Zealand and Australia.

If you want to exercise any legal rights, contact us and we will respond within the timeframes required by law.

The service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are 13 to 17, you should use Annet with a parent or guardian’s consent.
